Kate Lui

Kate is a hard-working student who is currently completing her Master of Science in Neuroscience at Carleton University under the supervision of Dr. Robyn McQuaid and Dr. Natalia Jaworska (Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre). Her project is looking at the effects of cognitive behavioural therapy and a novel social cohesion-based intervention on depression and substance use in young women.

Kate received her Bachelor of Science Honours in Neuroscience and Mental Health at Carleton University. In her 4th year, Kate completed her Honours thesis with Dr. McQuaid by exploring the heterogeneity of  depression using relationships among symptom dimensions, childhood trauma, and biological correlates.
